Corporate Controller:

Here we grow again! Americo Manufacturing Company, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Corporate Controller. This position reports directly to the CFO and will be an integral part of our management team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant who is looking for upward mobility and the chance to impact an organization that is growing both organically and through acquisitions. The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department including accounts receivables, accounts payable, costing and inventory control. The Corporate Controller works closely with the CFO and management team on the development, implementation, and management of the Company's financial and accounting processes and procedures.

Corporate Controller qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, exceptional technical and computer skills (high proficiency in Excel), strong strategic thinking, problem solving and communication skills (both written and oral) ; CPA a plus. The Corporate Controller must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to team-building. Controller Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operation of the accounting department including cost accounting, accounts receivables, accounts payable, staff accountants and inventory control.
  • Investigate existing processes and procedures and work with team on process improvements.
  • Oversee and manage freight administration including reconciling and accruing freight.
  • Oversee, manage, and coordinate quarterly and year-end physical inventory and periodic cycle counts.
  • Oversee and manage resolution of inventory issues via an analytical analysis which may include verification of stock levels, product receipts and bill and material allocations.
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller and the Executive Management team on the development, implementation, and management of the Company's financial and accounting processes and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus
  • 5 years + relevant experience in a managerial role with direct reports
  • Minimum 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Above average technical skills including proficient knowledge of MS-Office and ERP systems (high proficiency in Excel a must).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, communicate, and interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management, production personnel, and customers.
  • Excellent decision making, problem solving, teaming, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong manager of both people and processes.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage staff, motivate teams and evaluate performance, the ability to recognize and develop talent and to empower employees to reach their individual maximum potential.
