Chief Financial Officer

Americo Manufacturing Company, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced and driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  The Chief Financial Officer serves on the Executive Management Team and is responsible for the administrative, financial and risk management operations of the company.  Primary activities include the day-to-day planning, implementing, managing and controlling of all financial-related activities of the company, either directly or through subordinate managers and staff of the accounting department.  The CFO also oversees the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.


Chief Financial Officer Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
  • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans for the company.
  • Develop financial and tax strategies.
  • Manage the capital request and budgeting processes, delivering timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
  • Develop performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company's strategic direction.


  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions of the organization.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
  • Direct management of Corporate and Financial Controllers.
  • Oversee the company's transaction processing systems.
  • Implement operational best practices.
  • Supervise acquisition due dilegence and assist in mergers and acquisition activities.

 Financial Information

  • Oversee the issuance of corporate financial information and reports to the CEO, President and Board.
  • Analyze financial information and provide feedback based on such analysis.

 Risk Management

  • Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.
  • Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.
  • Construct and monitor reliable control systems.
  • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage for the company and its officers.
  • Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
  • Report risk issues to CEO, President, and Board.
  • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.


  • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.
  • Arrange for debt financing and equity financing.
  • Ensure compliance with all debt covenants.

 Third Parties

  • Participate in conference calls with Private Equity shareholders.
  • Maintain banking and legal relationships.
  • Represent the company with investment bankers and investors.

 Chief Financial Officer Requirements

  • Master's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major corporation, division of a large corporation or private equity owned companies. Manufacturing experience, an MBA in Finance and/or the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations preferred.
  • Well-developed business acumen
